Artist Bio

Amelie Tomlinson

I am an emerging artist based in Canberra, Australia. I am currently studying at the ANU School of Art and Design, working with mainly analogue, digital and experimental photography mediums. I also enjoy painting, drawing and sewing. 

In 2021, I participated in two student showcases at Gungahlin College, with digital photography and stop motion animation. I started studying at ANU in 2022, working with the ANU Solar Racing social media team for a few months in my first year. In 2023, my class developed a group showcase at PhotoAccess, 'Photography is Dead! Long Live Photography', about the impacts of AI art. In 2024, I submitted work for the Incognito Art Show, and will be included in this year's ANU Grad Show. 

For me, art is a way to express my creativity and thoughts. It also allows me to combine my interests with creative mediums. Key themes I am interested in exploring include memory, connections, astronomy and motorsports.
