Medieval New Years Dress, 2021

Derelique (inspired by Zoolander), 2021

This dress was made as a visual arts project in year 12. I chose to focus on recycled art, and made this dress out of used horse feed bags. My inspiration for it was namely Zoolander, as they had their 'trash' collection. I think the material almost broke my sewing machine, but the outcome was worth it.

CD Dress, 2021

This dress was also a year 12 project, but as a response to a literature creative essay. We were learning about consumerism and the impacts of it, after reading 'Fight Club'. I chose to look at how something popular can eventually become worthless, contributing to waste. 'It's a CD player, it plays CDs' - The Wedding Singer.
